Aspartofeffortstolureinvestorsandreviveailingindustries,ZimbabwehassetupSEZsinHarare(SunwayCity),BulawayoandVictoriaFalls.
SpeakingafterpresentationstotheChinesedelegationfromrepresentativesfromtheeconomiczones,seniorprincipaldirectorintheOfficeofthePresidentandCabinet(OPC)MrOziasHovesaidexpertisefromChinacouldbetappedtoadvancethecountrysthrustoninvestment-ledgrowth.
Hesaidaone-stopshopinvestmentcentrebeingworkedonbyGovernmentwouldbevitalinluringinvestors.
"ThisistheseconddayoftheirvisitandwearenowelaboratingonSpecialEconomicZonesaswedesignedthemourselves,"hesaid."ThisisareviewwearedoingonSpecialEconomicZonesandwearegivingthemupdatesofwhathashappenedsincetheirlastvisit.Indoingso,wetakecognisanceofthefactthatCabinethasalreadydecidedontherationalisationofinstitutionsdealingwithinvestments,"saidMrHove.
